There is lots of reading and talking about books in our library sessions as a class, in small groups and individually. The Grade 4, 5 and 6 class is currently studying How to Train Your Dragon by Cressida Cowell and exploring themes such as family, belonging and what it is to be a hero. We are also looking at myths and legends associated with Viking culture and dragons.

The Grade 3, 4 and 5 class is currently studying Superfudge by Judy Blume, having read and greatly enjoyed Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing by the same author in Term 1.

Each week the Foundation, Grade 1 and Grade 2 classes are read a book which the students take turns to choose. Our reading is followed by an activity related to the book, such as a creative written or illustrated response, a song or a game, or a general discussion.
